As a web developer I was not familiar with Python programming language, I knew there was django, flask and plone but I was really comfortable at that time with Ruby on Rails. Then a lot of cool applications began to pop like mushrooms, everywhere you see, there was Python, so I decided to invest in my skills and I bought Eric Matthes "Python Crash Course". I devored that book in a weekend, so simple, so structured, so clear, so many things you can do with a simple script.
I wanted more... so after 30 python books and some online courses, I was ready to more, not for abandon my web developer activities, oh no, no, no, no, but to combine that skills with this new ones. And one of the best ways to really understand something is to teach it. So I design and worked for almost two years in the creation of a Python programming course, half theory and half real practice.
Then I got hired to teach my course and I needed a website to show what's all about, this is the website.
With really simple information structure, clean design, responsive, and all the information that a student would want to know.
I had more than 30 students in the course (I expected 20) so ... mission accomplished. I recovered my investments (books and courses) and became better in Python thanks to my students, who always asks and asks and put me to study more. Really thanks!
Because of the success I will keep giving this course in the future but I will change the website in every edition. Here is a video of this first edition.
