Developing an Institutional Website is not an easy task. Forget technologies and front-end/back-end complexities. Oh no this special kind of project is all about people.
How can you develop a website if you don't have a webdesign, sections distribution and content?
Well that is impossible. What if I told you that all the above information that you need to do your job wil be get from more than 100 people.
So this project had a group of people dedicated to define the website's sections they need and the web design. Then all the planned sections need contents so new mini groups were instructed to get that texts and images from the academics, a lot of academics.
Months passed and the information kept arriving. Laboratory's descriptions, department's photos and many more. But that is not the end, all text and images were checked by another group of people, then corrected or improved and then finally they were ready to be part of the website. Eleven months, many meetings with different people, and tons of new content finally converted in the Institute of Nuclear Science Website, mission acomplished.
As you can see I could finish this project because the work and effort of many people of this great Institute. Thank you ICN! and special thanks to the great web designer Aline Guevara Villegas.
